Dress and Bearing
Dress Standard
Cadets are to confirm with standard NZDF (New Zealand Defence Force) and NZCF (New Zealand Cadet Force) Standards and Regulations, this is one of the conditions of entry. While a Cadet is in uniform their appearance must be of the highest standard such as.
(a) Hair must conform with service standards.(b) Clean black shoes.(c) Clean and pressed uniforms(d) Clean and trimmed finger nails.(e) Cosmetic make-up and jewelry are not to be worn by Cadets (female Cadets may only wear plan studs/sleepers in their ears)(Male Cadets may not wear any jewelry other than a watch).
NOTE : Until a Cadet is issued with a uniform, they are to wear their School uniform. In the event of a Cadet not having a school uniform, their appearance and dress must be of a HIGH standard.
Uniforms
A Cadet is issued with a uniform (when available) after:
(a) Completing an Application to Join form, and having
(b) Completed a probationary period of four (4) consecutive
Unit Routine Parades, and
(c) Have paid the Unit Annual fee.
Uniforms are provided free and are signed for, but they remain the property of the New Zealand Defence Force. Lost or damaged uniforms must be replaced by the Cadet at the set rates which apply at the time. Uniforms being returned MUST BE dry cleaned or washed where appropriate.
As part of the conditions of entry to this unit, cadets must provide their own socks and appropriate black boots.
